THE BRIEF & VISION
Just as the couple say I do, soft whisperings of confetti would trickle from above.
The ceremony took place in the wine cellar. A concrete backdrop of high ceilings with the restriction of no beams or support in the roof. Our approach was to introduce a structure that suited the environment and visual aesthetic of the wedding. This structure would allow us to achieve the effect of trickling confetti from above, creating the illusion that it was falling from the sky. Little did we know that this would result in the pursuit of magic…
Constructing a unique ceremony structure that would be easy to assemble and could serve various purposes in the future was our first task at hand. Keeping in mind that the bride had bought quite a few oversized balloons for the occasion, our first inspiration was thus alexander wang’s flagship store display. We utilised industrial grid framework on our first install and knowing how versatile and light weight it is, we thought it would provide the ideal frame. Now for the difficult part - the confetti apparatus, using a few unconventional items and bio degradable confetti, we managed to achieve an installation that embodied a sequence of emotions.
