In a way, this theme focused on the current drought condition that many farmers continue to face. Drawing inspiration from Spier’s AW15 wedding shoot which we collaborated on, were we conceptualised the look to seem more applicable for an event than for editorial. Throughout the season of this story, we continued to gather the forgotten resources of terroir as they decayed.
The linking thread, its metamorphosis, was hidden within the colour spectrum.
We explored this theme accented first with amber and coppers, followed by a more masculine look of crete stone, greys, light blues and lilacs. Our following sequence played with brass lanterns, dried foliage with a hint of yellow and burnt orange, this proceeded with a blush, cream, sand like moment. This desiccated study also allowed us to change the presented within each colour palette, a highlight of such were the stark garlands that were introduced for the blush concept. Our last palette introduced the shades of bottle and emerald green, illustrating specific emphasis on the creative block bottle and box packaging, in a very different context than before.
